The ILHS Publications Committee welcomes proposals for books on aspects of Irish Legal History. We will consider proposals on all topics and time periods that can be considered to fall within the discipline, and we encourage a variety of methodological approaches. We particularly encourage the publication of monographs on areas of Irish Legal History previously under-explored in the literature. Both established and emerging scholars are welcome to submit proposals.The society is also eager for proposals by scholars from previously under-represented sections of society.
We will normally require a sample chapter, an outline of chapters and an indication of the contribution the book will make to the discipline. All our books go through a peer review process, and are published by Four Courts Press. See our previous publications here.
